Undertale AU: Fallentale

Hey guys! I am currently working on my new Undertale AU Fanfiction story called "Fallentale." However, I thought I'd add this to the numerous other Undertale AUs out there.

Basically what happens is that Frisk has done everything to achieve the True Pacifist ending. However, before she and her friends go to see the sunset, she suddenly falls ill. They discover that the numerous resets she's done has affected her body and there is nothing that can be done to save her. With only a short amount of time to live, all of her friends stay underground to keep her company as they don't want to live on the surface without her. Soon all the other monsters hear the news and they, to, abandon their dreams so they can be with their dying friend. The main cast take up residence in Toriel's house with the skelebros taking up permanent residence while the others stop by to visit every so often. Sans is completely heartbroken and Frisk asks him to take her to the patch of golden flowers where she had first fallen into the underground. He does and they bump into Flowey who is actually shocked and dismayed to hear that their only friend is dying. Shortly after, as Frisk is on the brink of death, she knows how sad her friends will be after she dies and thinks of how much she wants them to be happy again before closing her eyes forever. At the same time, a new human child is born on the surface. Skipping to several years later, this same human child is drawn to Mt. Ebot and ends up falling into the underground. They meet the crew and notice how depressed they all our and makes it their goal to see the monsters be happy again.



I know I put female pronouns for Frisk. That's only because I headcannon her to be one. You are allowed to switch gender or keep them neutral, whatever floats your boat. All the monsters must be sadder versions of themselves, even the ones that are usually bright and cheerful. (Sorry Papyrus and Mettaton.) The new fallen human is your own Undertale OC, however for my story I will be using my own. There CANNOT be a genocide version of this AU. Everything else you can change except that. You are free to use this idea, but I INSIST that you give me credit for creating it. That's all I ask and that you keep it pacifist. I don't even care who you make as the new antagonist, just please, PLEASE remember to give me credit if you use this AU.

EDIT;About the monster characters:

Like it states above, the monsters are more depressed versions of themselves. They don't have the same fire in their souls as they did in the game. Some have slightly altered appearances or personalities, like Mettaton for example: fav.me/d9wnacv

He isn't as flamboyant and sticks to his box form whenever he isn't in front of the camera. Many of the monsters can't tell that he's depressed because he's such a good actor, but ones that know him better(like the main game characters), can sometimes and tries his best to avoid his friends so as not to worry them.

Other characters, like Sans for example, are more closer to falling down, but still keep going because of their friends and family.

Undyne isn't as spunky or pugnacious. She's actually a bit more quieter and mellow, though that could be because she has two something elses to keep herself occupied with. ;3

Papyrus is just as loud and boisterous as always, but not all the time. He does have moments where he's quieter and a bit more reclusive, but tries his hardest not to let his sadness get the best of him.



For my own story in this AU, I won't be uploading chapters as often as before. I have other things I want to focus on including schoolwork, plus I want to make each chapter longer if possible.
